Bourg Saint Pierre - Col de Saint Bernhard, 11 km, 10.09.22

Finaly arrived at the Col de Saint Bernhard after an arduous climb of some 1000 m to an Altitude of 2470m. Beautiful weather again and not to warm this high up. We left this morning with the same group of people and we are all staying in the same hospice on top and wil soon gather for our pilegrim meal. My feet are hurting a lite, but I suppose that is to be expected under the circumstances. A good nights rest should do the trick.

Almost forget to mention that we had a special Swiss type of dinner last night called Raklette. Swiss cheese is melted and served with a good wine, vegetables and small cooked potatoes. Very tasty and good fun in the group.

To morrow starts the rest of the way in Italy and we will descend to a place  called Echevennoz. Take care and see you to morrow
