12May Osserain - Ostabat 22km E
12 mei 2017
A beautiful walk on a beautiful day for walking with the Pyrenees in eyesight. My foot felt good to day so I just had to go for it and I don't regret it. To morrow the last 23 km to St.Jean Pied du Port, where we actually arrive a day earlier than anticipated if all goes well.
As I said a beautiful scenery, but much up and down as we had to cross 3 mountain ridges of between 100 and 200+ meters high to get here. Between St. Palais and Ostabat the three main French pathways to SJPdP converge such that we suddenly meet a lot of other pilgrims on our way and in the village that we haven't seen before. No Dutch people for once, but French, Canadese, Swiss and German pilgrims.
All 12 in this house we are staying are already in bed by 21:00 (!) so I'm the only one still sitting here on the sofa writing this blog and I don't think I can sleep for a while yet...
Good night anyway.
