3, 4 and 5 May Eynesse - St Ferme (26 km) - Bassanne (21 km) - Brouqueyran (19 km)

5 mei 2017

Due to a good meal and a cosy evening at the Aqueil Pelerin Asociatif in the St Ferme with hosts Nadège and Daniel as well as with Willie (a Flemmish pilgrim) and Janick of course no blog on May 3rd. The other days either frustratingly slow internet and my phone out of order. Icouldn't get on the net at all, not even to make phone calls and after strugling for some time I had the luminous idea to switch the thing off all together and restart. Voilá all in order! Due to all this trouble I haven't been able to maintain the blog these past days. Not much to tell either. We have been walking in beautiful weather through large vineyards and forrests or fields, mostly on small asfalt roads with very little traffic. Yesterday we stayed in the communal Moulin des Piis at Bassanne. We had the whole thing for our selves. A beautifully restored historic mill powered by a small stream, where wheat was ground in the old days. Recommended, but bring your own food!
To day a short trip of 19 km. Rain has been threatening all day but we kept it dry save some drops in the end. Presently staying at an old Chateau Mirail where we again met the 3 Dutch, Marlies, Jan and Jaap. Dinner at 8 and breakfast at 7!
To morrow to Captieux. A pretty long stretch of 29 km which I'm not particularly looking forward to. Not to fast and with enough breaks it should be alright.
Good evening to you all.
