4 - 5 June Itero de la Vega - Frómista - Carrión de los Condes 15 + 20 km = 35 km
5 juni 2017
Sunday we had to cross a good hump in the road of some 150 m altitude with an ascend and a descend of respectively 12 and 18 % on a cold and rainy day. Fortunately there wasn't much rain in the afternoon and we had a nice walk of some 4 km along the Chanel of Castilla to Frómista. Hans had a problem walking with his blisters, so for once he had to take it easy. I got some stiff from the Pharmacy and we treated the blisters as best we could, but it was a bloody mess.
Today the weather has cleared with sun from a blue sky and a good breeze so that it didn't get too warm. In the morming Hans decided he couldn't walk on those blisters and got a litt from the boss of the albegue to the next place while I would do the walking. I took an altetnative route of the Camino and had a fantastic day walking mostly along side a Canal and a small river bordered with trees for shade through beautiful nature with only the sound of birds and frogs in concert. The last 6 km went through endless and far away corn fields with colours ranging from blueish green to yellow and brown. I tried to walk as slow as possible and took plenty of breaks to enjoy the weather, the scenery and bird sang but was still at the destination pf the monastery of Santa Claus in Carrión les Condes at three in the afternoon where Hans was resting his feet already.
Tomorrow another fine walk of 24 km to Ĺèdigos. Just me and the Camino :-)

ik ben zo benieuwd naar jullie contemplaties. Zijn die er al?
Waar praten jullie over?
Groeten, Paul
