23 May Ayegui - Los Arcos 20 km

Another beautiful day for a beautiful walk. It was also a hot day and although the path was mainly covered with fine grain gravel, our feet are sore and we are both pretty tired. The last 13 km of the trip went through corn field after corn field, without any villages and few shady spots, but still a wonderful experience for us privilaged pilgrims. We loaded up with water in Villamayor de Monjardin as recommended, but halfway some entrepreneurial locals set up a bar and some tents/tarps for us ''poor'' pilgrims and do good business. Again we meet and get to know a lot of other pilgrims along the way and in the villages which makes it all the more interesting.
For the night we booked a 2 bed room in a pension as a treat to our selves so we can get a good night sleep in comfy beds.
