25 april Chalus - La Coquille 18 km E

Again a short and easy trip to day. We arrived at La Coquille at 14:30 and have to wait until 16:40 when the refuge is supposed to open its door. It has been raining for a while and we have therefore taken temporary refuge in the local bar to keep warm with a couple of beers and a Croques Monsieur.
Now in the Refuge de Pelerin, there are 3 others already and almost full house. A small but cosy place with a very nice caretaker who immediately made us a mug of tea and offered biscuits. We registered and the host Jean Paul, an old pilgrim himself started talking about his experiences with the Camino. Also found out that Adriaan passer through here already 18 april and Thorsten and Francois on the 20th, so they all move a lot faster than us.
We'll have dinner here as well for 8 Euro. The others here are 1 younger German, a Dutchman and a young Frenchman. They all cover stretches of more than 30 km a day and I don't think we'll see them again.
My foot behaved very well to day, so things are looking good.
